…In Conversation with Hannah!
In this interview, Hannah is joined by Damara Inglês, a recent graduate of the BA & MA in Fashion Media Practice and Criticism at the London College of Fashion, 2019.
“Born in Luanda, Angola and growing up in Lisboa, Portugal such notions of diversity, inclusivity and nomadic thought are crucial to her work process. In this interview, Hannah talks with Damara about life since graduating in 2019, cultural identities and changing the DNA of the fashion industry.
Damara recently announced her collaboration with Snapchat’s Spectacles and Hervisions where she gained early access to Snapchat’s 3D body tracking. Damara's digital aura K-Zumbi seeks to understand the new definition of identifying with our bodies when our digital selves surpass our physical presence.
"My digital aura K-Zumbi explores the visualisation of interlaced memories and digitally shared moments. Kazumbi means spirit from another world, ghost, aura and deity in Kimbundu, an Angolan dialect." - Damara Inglês
